Join AJC Westchester/Fairfield for a welcoming and affirming Pride Week event about faith and the lived experience of LGBTQIA individuals, created by a diverse group of local faith communities. Hear from and speak to professional and lay leaders of many faith communities who are advocates and allies of the LGBTQIA community. All are welcome. The event will feature:

  • Rabbi Joel A. Alter, Director of Admissions of the Rabbinical and Cantorial Schools of The Jewish Theological Seminary

  • Professor J. Patrick Hornbeck II, Chair, Theology Department of Fordham University. Editor and Author of works on LGBT+ concerns within the Catholic and Christian community, as well as at the intersection between religion and law.

  • Karen Prudente, Chair, Methodists in New Direction; past Assistant Treasurer and Director, International Ministries with Women, Children and Youth of United Methodist Women of the General Board of Global Ministries

  • Professor Althea Spencer-Miller, Assistant Professor of New Testament, Drew Theological School; United Methodist Queer Clergy Caucus leadership team member

  • Rabbi Gordon Tucker, Senior Rabbi of Temple Israel Center, White Plains, NY; Rabbinical School Dean, Jewish Theological Seminary (1984 to 1992). Author of Halakhic and Metahalakhic Arguments Concerning Judaism and Homosexuality.

  • Lee Sartain (Moderator), Strategic Advisor for Finance and New Partnerships, Union Theological Seminary; past Board Member of Association of Welcoming and Affirming Baptists

as well as a special musical appearance of The LOFT's Pride Choir.
